Neri has more than 10 years of experience in investment banking consulting, capital markets, and digital financial platform development. He began his career at Morgan Stanley, where he became Vice President for the financial analysis and capital markets division in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions. Subsequently, he joined Tinkoff Bank in Moscow as Vice President of Strategy. Tinkoff is considered the world's first digital bank and one of the most profitable and innovative models in the global financial industry.

After leaving Russia in 2022, Neri decided to start the Plata project in Mexico alongside other digital banking specialists. Plata is a financial technology institution focused on building a new generation of banking services based on proprietary technology, efficient operating models, and a user-centric vision. He is the Co-founder and CEO of the company, which began operations in Mexico in April 2023 and is currently entering a new institutional stage after receiving authorization from the National Banking and Securities Commission (Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores) on February 18, 2026, to begin operations as a Multiple Banking Institution (Institución de Banca Múltiple) in the country.
